On June 2, 2024, the 2nd College Students' Table Tennis Competition, which was jointly sponsored by the Physical Education Department and the Youth League Committee of Anhui University of Finance and Economics (AUFE) and organized by AUFE Table Tennis Association, came to an end in the East Campus Gymnasium. The competition attracted many table tennis fans from various colleges to participate, which fully demonstrated the sports spirit of unity, cooperation and tenacity of students of Anhui University of Finance and Economics.
The competition was divided into men's and women's team competition and men's and women's individual singles competition. The atmosphere of the game site was warm, and the players were all in high spirits and devoted themselves to the game. Their exquisite ball skills, tenacious fighting spirit and tacit cooperation won the applause of the audience. After a fierce competition, the School of Management Science and Engineering won the men's team championship, the School of Business Administration and the Institution of Statistics and Applied Mathematics won the runner-up and the third runner-up respectively, and the fourth to the eighth places were the School of Accountancy, the School of Finance and Public Administration, the School of International Economics and Trade, the School of Finance and the School of Economics respectively. The champion of women's team competition was School of Finance and Public Administration, Institution of Statistics and Applied Mathematics and School of Economics won the second and third place respectively, and the fourth to eighth places were School of Business Administration, School of Accountancy, School of Finance, School of Management Science and Engineering, and School of Law respectively. The champion of Men's Individual Singles was won by Xing Sheng'en, and the runner-up and the third place were won by Li Bingyi and Liu Jiayi respectively; the champion of Women's Individual Singles was won by Cheng Ruijin, and the runner-up and the third place were won by Lu Yi and Peng Haiju respectively.
The competition enriched the campus cultural and sports life of students and provided a platform for everyone to show themselves. The participants fully carried out the sports spirit of Friendship First, Competition Second, showed the good appearance of unity and cooperation, hard work and enterprising of the students of Anhui University of Finance and Economics, and created a positive, healthy and harmonious campus atmosphere.
